TEFLON® ENCAPSULATED O-RINGS
Encapsulated O-rings were developed specifically to solve a common problem in several industries. Many applications require the temperatures and chemical resistance of Teflon® but PTFE O-rings lack the resiliency required for compressive fluid sealing. Many of the flexible elastomers cannot withstand some of the harsh chemicals and temperatures seen in applications you might be dealing with.
Patriot’s encapsulated O-rings can give you the best of both worlds. The outer jacket is made from Teflon® giving it excellent resistance to a broad range of corrosive chemicals and extreme temperatures, while the Solid rubber core energizer provide the best resistance to compression set and the best “recovery.”
